This last weekend we prayed and prayed for the rain to hold off for this gorgeous Montana couple who came back to Southern Illinois to say I Do. The night before there was still an 80% chance of rain all day for this outdoor woodland wedding. Y’all know that is a girls biggest fear is for it to pour down rain after spending so much time planning. However, just as I sat up at 5am on Saturday morning I hurried up to check the weather and it had changed to 10%!!! We could not have been happier and enjoyed the entire day with the very best weather for an outdoor wedding.
We started the day capturing the couples details and heirlooms they incorporated from their family. As well as a first look with the brides father and help from their friends and family getting ready. Everyone was so calm and relaxed which was the theme of the day. As guests walked through the wooded path of the Dragonfly in Herrin, they looked at the photo lined trees which were covered with memories of the couples from the time they were 12! Yes, you read that correct. They have been connected since they were 12 and childhood sweethearts. Awwwwweeeee. Right?!? Once seated in the middle of the woods the wedding party came in and it felt like we were all in a movie. I hope and pray more couples will choose this venue and I can relive this moment over and over. Please and Thank You.
Can every groom have this reaction please?
Fun fact: the Grooms father actually made their backdrop for them!
How sweet are these sisters? I love that they are so close and check out the florals?!? Deliciously Ordinary completely outdid themselves for this wedding.
It was such an honor capturing this moment as the bride is also in the wedding scene. She owns and runs Media by Molly as a wedding videographer. We actually get to work together in an upcoming wedding! When someone else in the creative industry hires you, it is such a great feeling because you know they too are very picky about their vision. Actually this adds a bit more pressure but sometimes I think we work best under pressure.
